The STK Team:

Chris Ridabock Jr.
Director of Curriculum

Mr. Ridabock started Taekwondo at the age of 13 and has trained at the highest levels in the US,  Canada , and Korea. His background in Taekwondo was paralleled in education and he worked for the Toronto District School Board developing and supervising After4 programs and sport specific summer camps.

After a long competitive career , Mr. Ridabock opened Chae Dae Martial Arts Academy in the mid 90's. Already providing Taekwondo instruction for the T.D.S.B. for years, he continued to develop a modern approach to teaching Taekwondo that built on strategic thinking and a core focus on fundamentals.  Many of his original students have gone on to become national and international champions, but many more have gone on to be successful in their own goals outside of Taekwondo.

He's come to lead the curriculum at STK after making a successful transition to corporate and technical real estate. Mr. Ridabock currently heads his own consulting firm and serves as a negotiator for large corporate data centre transactions for clients such as AT&T Corporation, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and CIBC World Markets.

"After dedicating myself to Taekwondo for so many years, transitioning into highly charged corporate arena gave me a new perspective on the value and benefit of martial arts." he says.  “My experience gave me the inner strength to differentiate myself in a competitive industry and also the confidence to develop a new business model that is at the core of my company today . The mental focus and strategic thinking I gained from martial arts translated directly into success when I entered a highly charged business environment ".
