After School Leader
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, patient and flexible individual to join our team. They would be working with the Program Coordinator and other Instructors to implement fun, educational and skill developing activities (Including crafts, science, sports gym games and much more!) Help supervise students and implement the necessary behaviour management strategies. Maintain professional and friendly relations with our students and parents. Complete and submit paperwork and reporting(as needed). Pick up students in our marked and fully insured vehicle. Check that all children are accounted for before leaving the school/pick up area. Ensuring students safety while transitioning from vehicle to building and other duties as assigned. Applicants must have: Experience working directly with children aged 3-12 years. Proven leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills. Able to work in team and individual setting Experience working in a multi-cultural environment is an asset Full G Class License an asset Police Check Hours are Monday - Friday 2:00pm-6:00pm. Excludes public holidays and some school holidays. Roughly 10-14/hours per week. Start Date Immediately This is a contract position for the 2019/20 School Year. May be extended to include Summer 2020 for the right candidate. Drivers abstract and Police check must be provided before training. Assistant Instructor We are looking for an outgoing Taekwondo Instructor who works hard, educates with a smile and is excited by the idea of teaching students of all ages to reach their highest potential. STK Taekwondo is adding additional instructors to a growing team. Candidates should have past Taekwondo experience. WTF trained and Kukkiwon certified preferred. We will train the right individual that has an enthusiastic and motivating personality. Candidates need to positively interact with all our students, families and prospective students. Previous experience working with children is an asset. We pride ourselves on teaching the highest quality martial arts and empowering our students with skills for life like focus, confidence and respect. We expect all team members to display these qualities inside and outside of our facility. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Teach and assist with Taekwondo classes for ages 3+ - Supervise and teach classes for the After School Program - Attend and assist with special events - Maintain a clean, safe and enjoyable atmosphere in our school Wage: $15/hour to start. Dependent on experience, availability and proficiency of skills learned. Hours: Monday-Friday 2pm-8pm, occasional Saturday mornings. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and will require a police background check. After School Pick Up Driver Individuals will be responsible for: -Picking up students in our marked and fully insured vehicle -Checking all children are accounted for before leaving the school/pick up area -Dropping them at our facility and ensuring their safety while transitioning from vehicle to building Applicants must have: -Full Class G -Clean Driving Record -Police Check -Experience with children an asset. Hours are Monday - Friday 2:30pm-4pm. Excludes weekends, school and public holidays. Start Immediately. This is a contract position for the remainder of the 2018/19 School Year. Drivers abstract and Police check must be provided before training.
